Review: Brand of the PACK by Tera Shanley

23403608

My biggest issue with this series is that the books are so short! But….Can I just say THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE SERIES OUT THERE! Please give me more, more, more….and then some! Tera Shanley is freaking outstanding! Her writing blows me away….knocks me off my feet, and makes me want to shout it from the roof tops… “READ THIS BOOK!”

Every time I pick up a book in this series, I finish it that very day…no mater what time it is I read it until it’s done and over. Then I sit back and wish that I hadn’t, because I always need more of this magical world! I only hope that maybe Shanley will throw me a bone and write me a longer novel!

It doesn’t get much better then this book folks! I would recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal Romance and UF.

Review: Darkness Shatters by Susan Illene

23445137  Sensure Series Book 5 ♡

Winter has come to Alaska and it’s about to be joined by death.

Since moving to Fairbanks, Melena Sanders has watched too many of her friends die because she couldn’t react fast enough. When a mysterious illness comes along targeting only supernatural races she’s determined to stop it. But as the death toll climbs she realizes finding a cure is more complicated than she thought. Melena might have to give in to plans to reveal the existence of supernaturals to the human world—as it may be the only way to save them.

There is only one word to describe the level  this book is at…..unbeatable. Darkness Shatters is unstoppable! Action Packed, full of drama and excitement, and simply outstanding. This book is also the most emotional book in the series. I shit you not I all but went into a deep depression while reading this book, and not in a bad way! It only shows how invested I am in this series! I literally can NOT get enough!

Susan Illene does an incredible job with all of her books, but for me, Darkness Shatters is her masterpiece. She takes incredible writing to a whole other Level. From the characters, we’ve come to know and love, to this magical world she created, Illene is truely genius.  I can not wait for book 6 to be available! I don’t know what I am going to do until October 2015!  I have a craving for this series that simply can’t be sated by anything, but another great book!

I would recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal Romance and UF lovers as well!

Review: CONCEALED by Amber Lynn Natusch

17405739

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review from the author.

She is strong.

She is proven.

And I will follow where she leads.

~Amber Lynn Natusch

Wow! I have chills all over me! Concealed was simply exquisite. I loved each and every moment, as always, of being sucked into Amber Lynn Natusch’s Caged series.  I can’t get enough…it’s like a fix I just can’t seem to live without!

My name is Sabrina and I’m a Caged series Addict!

(P.S. I don’t want help.)

Gavin has always been a mystery to us. Throughout the series I’ve been frustrated, angry, and down right desperate to know what his intention were! Well we finally know and damn is it good! I won’t give to much away, but I will say all of our questions are answered!

Amber Lynn Natusch is always a breath of fresh air. Concealed was so creative and detailed. It will leave you wanting for nothing but more more more! I loved the way it was written, like a Memorandum, or a confession. Every juicy detail will surprise you! I had many moments where I stopped and “Oohhh…I get it now!”

Concealed totally blew me away! So different from anything I have ever read, and I must say absolutely enthralling.  I am so excited to see what happens next in Book 7 of the Caged series! Amber Lynn Natusch is a genius! Every book just gets better and better.  I am a fan for life!

I would recommend this book to all lovers of the Paranormal, and if your not pick up the Caged series anyways! You won’t be disappointed!

Review: My Dragon Masters by Krystal Shannan

23704416

I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Fire and ice don’t go together… or do they?

When the beast within wakes, her desires burn with a fire she can’t escape. She won’t let anything stop her, not even the fact that she has no memory. She doesn’t know who… or what she is, but also can’t shake the feeling that she’s something more than human.

Dragon shifter twin brothers, Miles and Eli Blackmoor, are exiled Drakonae kings. A thousand years ago they lost their soul mate, Diana Karlson. Betrayed by their own people, they spent centuries on earth searching for a way to reclaim their birthright and their wife. They’ve dedicated their lives to protecting the House of Lamidae, hoping one day one of the seers in the house would have a vision to help them.

All the Sisters ever say is… she is coming to you.

My Dragon Masters is outstanding! Its safe to say that the Sanctuary, Texas series is one to look out for! Krystal Shannan really does an excellent job of captivating her readers. She brings her readers on an unforgettable journey that will blow you mind!

Diana, an ancient Dragon shifter, awakes in a cell with no memory of her life, her name, and what or where she is. When she escapes The Veil, she comes to a world that she never imagined exsisted. It was highly entertaining reading about Diana trying to figure out this new Era she escaped to. She has no idea what to expect from this new time and place. With the help of a group of Supernaturals, helping to smuggle other Supernaturals to safety, Diana finally finds what she has been looking for.

Miles and Eli, Dragon royalty, have been missing their mate for Hundreds of years. When they discover they can once again feel her pull to them, her need for them, they will stop at nothing to reach her. However, things don’t go exactly as planned and they must relinquish the duties of finding her to Wolf Shifters, Garrett and Travis.

Once reunited with her mates, Diana is finally home. Although she is happy to be returned, she is still lost without her memories. In fact she is missing the most important memory of all, Diana must find a piece of her that was ripped from her arms a thousand years prior. With the help of the men she loves and the towns people of Sanctuary, she may be able to gain back her missing life.

This book was incredible! Hell, this whole series is amazing! I just can’t get enough of the sexy men, the steamy sex scenes, and the heartbreakingly beautiful love stories Krystal Shannan dishes out! I would recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal Romance!

Review: My Viking Vampire by Krystal Shannan

23178793

Synopsis:

Bailey Ross’ world is crumbling around her. Her abusive ex, a human, is closing in on her again, and to make matters worse, a new enemy, a djinn, is stalking her. This supernatural being takes great pleasure in human pain, something Bailey has in excess thanks to her ex. If she’s caught by either, she’s as good as dead. Backed into a corner and desperate to escape, she does something she swore wouldn’t ever be possible again -trusting a man. And he’s a vampire. Protection via the sexy vampire Erick Thorson may prove to be a little more than she bargained for. Sparks fly between them and she finds herself agreeing to more than just protection. Though he has promised not to let anyone harm her, the small west Texas town is more than it seems and he may not be able to make good on his vow no matter how hard he tries. Will Sanctuary be the home Bailey longs for or will she have to die to find out?

I was approached by The Book Machine to review books from certain authors. At first I was skeptical on how it would work out, but boy am I glad I tried it! My Viking Vampire is such an amazing read I couldn’t be happier that I choose this book to be my first review with this site. While the book is a paranormal romance, it is really so much more!

My Viking Vampire sucked me right in and left me wanting nothing but more, more, more! This is the first book I’ve read by author Krystal Shannon, and let me tell you, I don’t know how I’ve ever gone this long without picking up one of her books/series. Her writing is fabulously creative and at times down right scandalous (in a really sexy way). She really knows how to capture a reader and give them everything they want and more!

While this book is definitely a Paranormal Romance there is so much more to it. The female protagonist, Bailey Ross, is fighting to escape an awful past. She faces so many obstacles on her journey which leads her to Erick. As a victim of abuse she is sorely reminded of her past day in and day out, due to the scars that cover her body. She was tortured and held captive by man she trusted. As a reader I felt torn at first, thinking that it could go either way. When dealing with touchy subjects one either takes it too far, or skates right over the issue. My mother is a survivor of an abusive relationship, which is what initially led me to choose this book in the first place (I am always curious to see how authors portray this topic). Shannon really out did herself. She was nothing if not tasteful and brutally honest with Bailey’s story. Not for one second did I believe she skirted the issue. In fact she used the story as a way for Bailey to overcome her fears. She did a beautiful job writing what was a horrific tale to tell, and it felt very “real”.

My Viking Vampire will satisfy all of your needs! There are a lot of different paranormal creatures throughout the book. Including vampires, werewolves, a siren, and a few sexy dragons. Not to mention a few others that were very exciting to read about. Romantically, this book was on fire! Bailey and Erick have one hell of a healthy sex life! Hot hot hot! The steam worthy level was at an 11 ladies! I urge you to pick up this book a.s.a.p.

I would recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal Romance and readers looking for a little something different, trust me you won’t be disappointed!

Review: The Wicked City by Megan Morgan

23946214

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

Whatever June Coffin says, goes—literally. And it’s not just because she’s a chain smoking rebel. As a Siren, June has the ability to force people to obey any command she voices. But in a world where those with supernatural powers quickly become lab rats for science, she’d rather look out for herself than fight on the front lines…until her similarly gifted twin brother, Jason, is captured by Chicago’s Institute of Supernatural Research.

To save Jason, June has no choice but to enter a hidden world of conspiracy, murder—and strange bedfellows—including a widowed paranormal advocate whose memory June accidentally erased, and a fiery paranormal separatist leader. Soon the lines between attraction and strategic alliance become blurred. But in a city exploding with paranormal crossfire, and her brother’s life at stake, June will have to face her inner demons and finally take a stand.

Can I just say…Wow! What a great story. The Wicked City is so much different from any UF or paranormal romance book out there right now. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and Megan Morgan left me wanting more! Her writing is so descriptive and creative I felt as if I  was inside the story.

I love finding new authors about to make it big and Miss Morgan is certainly one to watch out for! She is a great writer with so much talent. Her characters are well developed, each has his or her own special something that makes them stand out, and not to mention their pretty kickass! I really fell in love with The Wicked City, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next.

June was a great protagonist. She was funny, witty, and never boring or complacent. June was an all around badass. Her sarcasm and self-deprecation really helped me relate to her. Well, that and the fact that she has amazing taste in men. Over all I think as a lead character she was everything she should be, and then some.

June has two men in her life in The Wicked City. Micha is the blue eyed, blonde, and an all American boy. He is very sweet throughout the story and I really liked how he and June meshed. Then we have Sam. Sam is exactly the opposite of Micha. Mysterious, tall, dark, and handsome. He is definitely hot, and what’s makes him even more sexy are the lengths he is willing to go to for our June.

The only problem I had with The Wicked City was that in the beginning it was hard to get into the story. I was a little confused as to what was going on, and at some points I was utterly lost. However, after the first few chapters I found my way. I got so into the book that I couldn’t put it down. Over all this was a fantastic read and I am so glad I got the chance to review it!

I would recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal Romance.

Review: The Winter Wolf by Rachel M Raithby

23350148

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review (LoP or Lovers of Paranormal).

Winter Wolf was AMAZING!  From the very beginning I was hooked, and I couldn’t put this book down! Raithby is a breath of fresh air and on my must read list! I need book 2 now!!

Katalina is 18 years old and out for a Sunday night venture with her parents when tragedy strikes. Thrown into a whole new world Kat is unsure what to believe, for she is a River Run Wolf….Given up by her birth parents to keep her safe from an ongoing war with the Dark Shadow wolves. However, finding out your a wolf, and that you should hate the neighboring pack, comes as a surprise especially when your in love with Bass, the son of the Dark Shadow Alpha. Kat needs to figure out who is on her side quick!

Jackson, the River Run alpha, and her father seems to only be angry at all times. How does he expect Kat to trust him if he won’t let her out of his site? Kat is spiraling out of control and just wants to go back to “the real world”. Once she gets the chance she starts to realize she might not belong there, or anywhere for that matter.

The Winter Wolf is a beautiful coming of age story. Its what every YA paranormal story should be: Action, adventure, romance, heartache, and happiness. Rachel M. Raithby writes a mean book and I can NOT wait to see what happens next! I would recommend this book to all YA lovers and paranormal fans! ~5 Stars~

Review: Eternal Neverland: Steps Before the Fall by Natasha Rogue

23288336 (1)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the publisher.

Blurb: Helena K. Sharpe was raised by a man who had sympathy for supernatural creatures, for the vampires his bloodline hunted for centuries. She was too young to understand how he tried to help them, but she knew it was important. Her father made her promise never to hunt them and she would do anything to keep that promise.

Until he is murdered by the very things he dedicated so much of his life to.

Orphaned and alone, Helena takes to the street, afraid for whatever’s left of her life. Without her family, she doesn’t know how–or even if–she can go on. Until a vagrant takes her under his wing and gives her a purpose. Revenge.

For six years she learns about the monsters, studies their habits, until, at 15 years old, she feels she’s ready to find the ones responsible for her parent’s death. All she has to do is become one of them. She’s cute, young, innocent…

They’ll never see her coming.

Natasha Rogue is an excellent story teller! Eternal Neverland: Steps Before the Fall is a spectacular read! Helena is a great protagonist who grows up before our eyes. I never knew quite what to expect from her. One second I would think “Thank god! She finally gets it!” And then she would do something so awful I had to step back and regroup. Helena has revenge in her head and she will stop at nothing to see it through. She is a very complex young woman. She has no fear of consequences, and lives by the terms… “it’s better to ask for forgiveness, then to ask for permission.”  As the story goes on Helena begins to realize that not all Vamps are bad. She lives with a few that are not only great looking, but would lay down their lives for her’s.

Throughout the journey we get to meet the forever responsible David, and oh so sexy bad boy Charlie, both of whom are Helena’s sires. David is infatuated with Helena, as her sire he feels desire toward her, but he keeps himself in check (most of the time). In the beginning, David had to literally stop himself from going to Helena, whether it was to protect her, or just be with her. As the book goes on David starts to see Helena for what she is. A revengefull young woman, in terrible need of guidence.

Charlie confused me. He is supposed to be the bad guy but he really grew on me! He is a very complicated  character, and Rogue does an excellent job portraying him throughout the book.

Jack. Jack. Jack. He may be my favorite. Ladies watch out Jack is the kind of man that jumps into your heart, and then right into your bed! He is one of those characters who is impossible NOT to love! He really stood out above the rest for be. He is loyal to a fault, sexy as hell, and isn’t afraid to get dirty while fixing every problem Helena faces. He is so good to her, but I feel like love is blind and that’s exactly what he is when it comes to Helena!

We also get to meet Ice, the triplets, Tommy, Russell, Raven, and the rest of the gang leaders and members around NYC. Its an interesting view on how Vamps would split up territories amoung themselves.

Natasha has a very out- of- the- box take on Vampires and their sires, their rules and regulations, and love. Let me tell you it is brilliant! This book was magic! I couldn’t put it down! It captured me in and spit me out at the ending, with nothing but a need for more! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves the paranormal, and needs a new take on vampires that will blow your mind!

Review: Forbidden by Selene Charles

23656424 (1)

I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Lop or Lovers of Paranormal.

Forbidden was excellent! Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. I mean it’s 4 a.m. and I am currently mind blown writing this review.  Selene Charles is such a great writer and she keeps you interested from page 1. I think it’s such an interesting twist to have the back story be about a circus, I have never seen that before. And that is just one of many differences between this book and others of this genre. The whole story was different from anything I have ever read, in a good way!

Flint is used to moving around alot. After settling into their new town, Flint and her father arrive at Carnevale Diabolique. As an excarnie Flint’s dad needs a job, and what better way then to rejoin a circus. But this place is different from any circus Flint has have seen. While wondering around Flint sees Cain, the pain-in-the-ass-bad-boy from school. He has a hot temper and is quick to let Flint know what he thinks of her. But the more he pushes her away, the more Flint feels attracted to him.

As the weeks go by Flint starts to see that all isn’t as it seems at Carnevale Dibolique, or even in her new little town. For there are monsters among them and they are out to get Flint.

With the help of Cain, his sweet brother Abel, Rhi, and Janet Flint must figure out who and what is stalking her. As Flint and Cain get closer, and he finally reveals his secrets, Flint realizes she may be in over her head.

Can Cain protect her from the monsters seeking her out? Or will his own monster inside get the better of him?

Flint was a great protagonist. She was strong, resourceful, witty, and so funny! The interaction between her and Cain was so believable. I felt at times like I wanted to jump in the book and smack Cain, but as they got closer, I found him indearing. I can NOT wait to see what happens! That was certhinly one HELL of a cliff hanger!

I recommend this book to all lovers of Paranormal and YA books!
